When a company turns you down for a job based on your credit report something called an adverse action its required by law to let you know, to give you the name of the credit reporting agency it used (Equifax, Experian or TransUnion) and to tell you how to receive a copy. A copy of your credit report is free as long as you request a copy within 60 days.
